A game is a contest or activity that is played with skill or luck to achieve a specific goal. The Money Game is one we are forced to play practically every day of our lives. It is a contest we play every time we make a transaction with money whether it is coming in or going out. We play the game at work, at the supermarket, at the gas station, at the bank and any other place where a form of money is exchanged for goods and services, saved, or invested.

We are forced to play the money game, but we do have a choice of how we will play it. Very few will play on the level of Donald Trump or the Wall Street moguls, but we can all be successful playing on our own “field”.

We must
• know our goal (to win) and our objectives (how to win)

• play (act; implement and use strategies for winning)

Who are your investment clients?

My investment clients are very bright professional people who want to be in control of their own finances but don’t have the time or inclination to search for the necessary information to make wise financial decisions.

What are the advantages of using the Adams’ Financial Resource Service?

YOU have a consultant who considers your total financial needs --return on investments, cash flow, major purchases, retirement, college costs and other obligations.

YOU receive information to become knowledgeable about current and future investments.

YOU are provided with options for a customized investment portfolio to fit your personal needs and tolerance for risk. Your financial situation is just as unique as your fingerprint. If current holdings are appropriate, they are never sold to be transferred to a “model.” Selling non-retirement assets could trigger unnecessary taxes.

YOU have an Investment Monitoring Program to help you organize, track, evaluate, and coordinate all your investments, including retirement plans and holdings at any brokerage.

YOU can build wealth while limiting risk by finding no-load mutual funds that outperform the indices in both increasing and declining markets. The “Asset Risk Allocation” chart is designed to show risk by automatically calculating percentages of assets in each of five categories.

YOU can schedule personal consultations to evaluate your portfolio at six-month intervals or more often if desired,

YOU are never locked in to binding contracts. Fees are based only on the services that are provided. The service is based solely on clients’ needs. Information and options that are provided are always in YOUR best interest. . Adams’ revenues have never been generated from the sale of financial products. Since 1979, the continuation of this service has been due to the satisfaction and success of my clients.

Client's comments

I am most grateful for the many compliments from my clients. However, I constantly tell them that they are the ones who are responsible for my success. I can only provide the “financial tools” and strategies for winning at the Money Game. A coach is successful when her players win the game!

“If you ever needed a wonderful financial consultant who does’t sell any products and is truly a life financial planner, and a great person, and has made me money conservatively over 25 years, look up Laury Adams, program presenter, Houston TV personality, a non-profit board member, financial and divorce mediator, and a very good friend.” R. C.

“I just wanted to thank you for meeting with me. Your financial information and strategies were so helpful to me. By clarifying my situation and my options, you gave me some much needed peace of mind and direction. Thank you.” J. H.

“Thank you so much for all your support. I feel very confident that I can make it now.” C. C.

“I decided to buy out my contract. I have saved the money for this fee and the movers—aren’t cha proud of me? Your wonderful envelope savings has truly been worthwhile. I also have to thank you for your support and generosity. Laury, I will always remember you affectionately for—ever! Thank you for all that you do and for who you are—a very special person!!” L. B.

“Once again I left your office thinking how marvelous you are and how much you are able to move us forward. As you said, a good beginning, now we need to work the numbers and continue to make good decisions.” P. G.

The following note was received 7/7/2002 from a client who had received my newsletter when the S&P 500 stock index was approaching its 47% decline:

“Today was the first chance I had to read your newsletter. That had to be one of the most difficult letters you have written and I just wanted to say I thought you put it wonderfully well and I’m sure I’m not the only one who has read what you said and said a silent ‘thank you, Laury, for being my guide, my caring friend, and I don’t know where I would have been without you.’ “ B. G.

“I want you to know how comfortable I feel referring clients to you. I am always certain their unique situation and their needs will be well tended. Thank you for the ‘extra’ you put into your work.” A Houston Therapist.
